Our story
For more than 50 years, Mercearia Rocha&Rocha was the heart of the neighborhood. A traditional grocery store, filled with wooden shelves, where the aroma of freshly ground coffee and Melgaço sweets enveloped everyone who walked in.
Mr. Dário, the store’s owner, knew each customer by name and, without needing a list, remembered exactly what every family took home.
But times changed. With giant supermarkets and fast deliveries, customers started to dwindle. That’s when Eduardo, Dário’s son, had a bold idea: to take ROCHA & ROCHA into the digital world.
With the help of his son-in-law, they created a simple yet welcoming website where customers could order the same traditional products as always—homemade olive oil, mountain cheeses, and artisanal cured meats—preserving the familiar essence of the business while offering the best regional and national products.
The transition won’t be easy, but ROCHA & ROCHA's goal remains the same: to be a local business, on a national scale.
What began as a small neighborhood grocery store has become a story of innovation and resilience—proving that tradition can thrive in the digital age, as long as it carries a touch of care and authenticity.
